This week we
paid a school in Indiana more than $228.00
for recycling a small shipment of gold
and sterling silver jewelry.
Many participants have begun collecting
jewelry as part of their program and are
seeing a greater return for their recycling
efforts.
Think about your
jewelry box at home. How many unwanted, old
or broken chains, earrings, necklaces, etc.
do you have that you don't know what to do
with? Almost everyone has an earring without
a pair or broken/tangled jewelry in their
jewelry box that they would be happy to
donate to a good cause. Jewelry is easy to
collect, does not require any extra effort
than your current recycling program and will
allow your organization to raise even more
money for your activities.
